You can get Revival Materia in FF7 Rebirth in two places: North Corel and Cosmo Canyon. However, you must progress quite a bit into the main story before obtaining it. The first place you can get Revival Materia is during Chapter 7: Those Left Behind.

Specifically, a Revival Materia is tucked away in the east corner of North Corel town in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. You can find the glowing green item near a set of barrels north of the weapon vendor. In the east back corner of North Corel Town, there will be a set of rusted rails looking over the village. The Revival Materia can be found behind the metal barrels behind the lookout point. Have Cloud walk up to the glowing green item and hold down the “Triangle” button to pick it up. However, there is actually a second way to pick up Revival Materia later on in the game, which we will detail below.

Revival Materia is incredibly useful in the story’s late-game sections, as you will now have infinite access to revive without needing Phoenix Downs. This is particularly useful when fighting the Tonberry King in FF7 Rebirth, as the boss has Instant Death spells. When in a tough battle, just swap to the healer on your team and spam “Raise” and “Arise” to your heart’s content.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on PlayStation 5.
