If you are a minion collector like me in Final Fantasy XIV, there are some new ones for players to collect in Patch 6.45. The Shiromaru and Kuromaru minions are some of the best in the game, but you’ll have to go through one of two methods in order to unlock them. Shiromaru and Kuromaru are two adorable ninja dog minions that you can follow you around and keep you company in FFXIV. They were added in Patch 6.45, and here are the two main ways you can unlock them right now.
How to Get the Shiromaru and Kuromaru Minions in FFXIV
For those of you who don’t want to spend any Gil, the first method to get Shiromaru and Kuromaru minions in FFXIV is for you. What you need to do is run the Mount Rokkon dungeon and open up any treasure chests you find in it. These chests have a random chance of dropping all sorts of items, including minions.
It is through these chests that you can get the Shiromaru and Kuromaru minions, but the chance of getting them this way is pretty minuscule. You have a very small percentage chance of obtaining one of these minions this way. If you want to save money, you’ll have to run Mount Rokkon repeatedly.
On the other hand, you might be a little lazy like me and want them instantly. If this is the case, you’ll have to use the second method. In this case, you need to head to the Market Board and purchase the Shiromaru or Kuromaru minion there.
The only problem with this method is that they are likely to cost an exorbitant amount, especially in the earlier days. You could even pay in the millions of Gil using this route. The prices could go down over time, but there is no guarantee, so expect to pay a ton if you go this route.
