How to Hide Headgear and Helmets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Gear is going to be a huge part of your time adventuring in feudal Japan in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. You have a few different armor pieces you will use for the two main protagonists, including headgear and helmets. If you want to know if you can hide headgear and helmets without losing stats in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’re in the right place.

Can You Hide Headgear and Helmets?

Thankfully, yes, you are able to hide your headgear and helmets in this game. If you don’t like the idea of having the shinobi hood covering Naoe’s head and most of her face for the game outside of certain cutscenes, you don’t have to worry about that. You are able to turn off this feature so you can see her face clearly all the time.

The same goes for Yasuke as well with the helmets that he wears. You are able to hide these and show off the samurai’s face anytime. The best part about this is you don’t lose any of the stat boosts and bonuses that come with the equipment items. You don’t need to unequip your headgear to hide them.

How to Hide Headgear and Helmets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As for how you hide your headgear and helmets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you will want to open up the main menu and go to the Inventory screen. It is here that you can see the headgear you can put on the characters. Navigate over to the headgear and you will see the option appear to hide the helmet.

Choose this option and you will not see it in-game anymore. But you will still receive its stats regardless. Note that you will need to do this for both Yasuke and Naoe alike. This is because Naoe uses headgear items while Yasuke uses helmets. Make sure to toggle this feature off for both protagonists if you want.
