How to Play All Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons Games in Order

One of the most confusing parts about the Harvest Moon series is its connection to Story of Seasons. Bokujou Monogatari is the name of the series in Japanese. It was localized in English by Natsume until a split occurred, and appeared as Harvest Moon when Natsume handled it. At that point, Marvelous and XSEED took over publishing worldwide, and thus released all Bokujou Monogatari games under the Story of Seasons name. This makes playing all Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games a confounding matter, since some Harvest Moon ones aren’t part of the series.
