Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date and Pre-order Date, Explained
The Nintendo Switch 2 is coming out on June 5, 2025. Better yet, you don’t have to wait until a couple of months from now to purchase it, either, as pre-orders will be available in the near future. Fortunately, the pre-order date is April 24, 2025 for most retailers, which is coming up quite soon after the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct.
You will want to jump on this as soon as you can, too. After all, there are two distinct versions you will be able to get: the base Switch 2 for $449 USD or bundled together with Mario Kart World for $499. Note that the latter bundle is only available for a short time. People will only be able to get it while supplies last through a bit into the fall this year. It seems this isn’t going to be a permanent bundle at this time.
Where to Pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2
There are a few places where you will be able to pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of release. I recommend trying all of these places since there is a chance it may sell out elsewhere. While most are going live April 24, 2025, the My Nintendo Store is an exception. You’ll need to log into your account and pre-order invites will begin on May 8, 2025.
