How to Recruit Falward in Eiyuden Chronicle

If you’re desperate for more healers in Eiyuden Chronicle, then you should be sure to recruit Falward. However, make sure you have enough money for his supplies if you do.

How do I recruit Falward in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Now, word of advice. I got Falward in Eiyuden Chronicle after I’d reached Hishahn for the first time and recruited Carrie. That’s because I was using her fast travel feature to catch up on folks I missed. So you may be able to find Falward immediately after getting access to your castle, if you’re willing to backtrack to Grum County!

Regardless, Falward is easy to find. Return to Altverden Village. There’s a hall you can enter in the northwest of town. You’ll need to go inside, walk all the way left until you see him, and talk to him to recruit him. But, before that, you’ll need to buy 15 Healing Herbs from the town’s Tool Shop. Have 300 baqua handy for that.

Here’s a screenshot of the map I labeled, to show you where both the shop and Falward are.

After you buy the herbs, head to Falward and talk to him. He’ll tell Nowa he won’t waste his time with him unless he gets the herbs. Give them to him, then go through the recruitment process as usual.

Is Falward good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Falward is! He can either be a replacement for Francesca or work alongside her. This is because of two healing abilities he has. One is Moonlight Heal, which is stronger than her single-target heal. The other is Sacred Shield, which protects an ally from all attacks once.

Also, unlike Francesca, Falward starts out with an offensive ability too. He knows Flash, which deals light damage to an enemy.

Depending on when you recruit him, it may take some time to get him up to par with other characters. He was at level 12 when he joined me. Also, if you already recruited Carrie, she has the same two healing skills he does and is a stronger fighter.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
