There are a few incidental characters you can get in Eiyuden Chronicle before you gain access to the castle, and Gigina is one of them. If you do a little backtracking, you can add this fighter to your party.
How do I recruit Stone Lion’s Heart Gigina in Eiyuden Chronicle?
I found Gigina by doing some backtracking before heading into the War Mode fight against the Galdean Empire. (So right after checking on Chapell’s troops in the town north of Eltisweiss.) Go through Fort Xialuke in Grum County to reach the Grum County-North map. Once there, you can head to Arenside, the small village Nowa was in at the start of the game.
Go speak to Gigina. My Nowa was at level 16 for this conversation. Gigina said they’d only join if I was strong, declared me a “lion,” then immediately became a part of the party.
Is Gigina good in Eiyuden Chronicle?
Honestly? No. They join at level 10, so they’ll be underleveled. (My team was around level 16-17 at the time.) They don’t have a unique Rune-Lens. They only come with Rune of Poison Resistance. They’re a defense type character, which is handy. But you’ll honestly have better prospects like Kogen soon.
