How to recruit Vasco in Starfield

To start, Vasco is the first companion you can add to your team in Starfield. He is also quite easy to get and there is legitimately no way not to have him as your companion, so long as you progress through the introduction.

All you need to do to add Vasco to your team is to complete the prologue storyline. After you finish it up, you’ll meet Barrett and Vasco from Constellation. This will start the main story involving the mysterious group of Constellation.

When the prologue wraps up, Barrett will gift you your first ship. Vasco comes along for the ride as your first companion. He will automatically be your active companion for the initial part of the journey too.

While it is impossible to miss recruiting Vasco, I should note that it is possible to go without having him as your companion for a while in the game. If you continue the Constellation storyline, teaming up with Sarah will force you to travel alongside her.

Vasco is not only a solid choice for your active companion across the stars, but he has some solid skills that are useful for both being a member of your crew or working at one of your outposts on various planets.

Starfield is available for the Xbox Series X and PC.
