How to Start Multiplayer in Fae Farm

In Fae Farm, up to four people can play at once in multiplayer mode. Also, thankfully, both local and online multiplayer is supported. However, if you want to play with friends online, you will have to create a Phoenix Labs account. Also, if you want to take part in a multiplayer session on the Switch, you’re going to need a Nintendo Switch Online membership. In addition, this game supports cross-play, meaning that as long as you own a copy of the game, you can play online with your friends no matter what platform they are playing on. (This only applies to online multiplayer, not local.)

How do I join someone else’s game in Fae Farm?

First, when you’re in your world, start by pressing the + button on your Nintendo Switch or opening the menu on your PC. This will open up a menu where you can select to begin multiplayer mode. It’s the icon with the two purple controllers labeled “multiplayer.” After pressing that, four options should become available to you. By selecting the “world invites” tab, you can view requests to join multiplayer games that were sent to you by your friends. By accepting these requests, you can join their world and begin multiplayer mode. You must be logged into your Phoenix Labs account in order to access this feature. You can also join a local multiplayer game or accept a world invite by selecting “join world” on the title screen.

How can I view my friends list in Fae Farm?

Selecting the left-most option labeled “Phoenix Labs friends” should bring up a list of friends you already have. You will first be prompted to log in to a Phoenix Labs account. A pop-up menu will ask you if you have an account or not. Selecting “yes” will allow you to log in and manage your friends list. Selecting “no” will allow you to create a new Phoenix Labs account. You can also log in to your account from the multiplayer menu by pressing the Y button on your Nintendo Switch.

How do I host a local multiplayer game in Fae Farm?

To host a local multiplayer session, select the “host local” tab on the multiplayer menu. By hosting a local multiplayer session, only Fae Farm players with Nintendo Switch consoles that are physically near you can join your game. Playing online long-distance won’t work this way.

How do I host an online multiplayer game in Fae Farm?

To host an online multiplayer session, select the “host online” tab. When playing online multiplayer, your Phoenix Labs friends can join your world no matter where they are. All of your friends will need a Phoenix Labs account before playing online multiplayer. Switch players will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Nintendo has a 7-day free trial of Nintendo Switch Online available on the Nintendo online store and via the Nintendo Switch eS-shop.

Fae Farm is available on Nintendo Switch and PC.
