In order to unlock this Extreme Trial, players will need to have completed “When the Bough Wakes.” This is the standard unlock for Containment Bay S1T7 (Extreme). You can read our guide to accessing it if you haven’t already. If you’ve beaten Sephirot, head to The Rising Stones in Mor Dhona (X:6, Y:5) and pick up the quest “A Fiendish Likeness.” This will unlock this specific Extreme Trial at Azys Lla (X:25.4, Y:22.5, Z:8.4).

Unlike the normal version of Sephirot, defeating Sephiroth Extreme will reward you with unique weapons and a rare mount. However, the Warring Lanner Whistle for the mount does drop at random, so you may need to run it several times. Thankfully it can be run unsyc’d.

Obtaining the mounts from all of the Heavensward Extreme Trials will allow you to obtain the Firebird mount.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
