Outside of The Pool of Tribute, Stormblood features another Trial players will tackle during the Main Scenario. Emanation is the second Main Scenario-related Trial player will unlock during FFXIV Stormblood. Much like other Main Scenario Trials, this is content you cannot miss. That said, there are specific requirements to tackling said content. This guide breaks down how to unlock Emanation and its Extreme version.
How to Unlock Emanation in FFXIV: Stormblood
Similar to The Pool of Tribute, Emanation is another FFXIV Trial that will be unlocked through Main Scenario Quest progression in the Stormblood expansion. You will know you’re close to fighting the Lakshmi, the Lady of Bliss herself, by undertaking the quest “The Lady of Bliss.” This quest is located at X:28.1, Y:19.4 in The Fringes. This fight is required in order to progress the Main Scenario, so it’s impossible to miss. That said, there are some requirements to tackling this Trial.
The requirements for unlocking Emanation are as follows:
- Level 67
How to Unlock Emanation (Extreme)
Like all Trials in Final Fantasy XIV, there is an Extreme version of Emanation. This is a more difficult version of the standard fight, but can only be unlocked once you have beaten the Stormblood Main Scenario. Upon completing the “Stormblood” Main Scenario Quest you can immediately head to Kugane and speak to The Wandering Minstrel at X:11.6, Y:12.6 to pick up the quest “Songs in the Key of Kugane.” This will unlock Emanation Extreme.
These are the requirements for unlocking Emanation (Extreme):
- Complete Main Scenario Quest “Stormblood”
- Level 70
- Item Level 300
