How to Change EVE’s Hairstyle in Stellar Blade

You first get access to the Hair Salon in Stellar Blade after reaching Xion, which is the city you unlock after completing the game’s opening level, Eidos 7. However, the barbershop isn’t open until you progress the game to the Wasteland. You unlock the desert region after turning in the Hyper Cell and speaking to Orcal in Xion.

Below are the steps to unlock the hair salon in Stellar Blade:

  • Arrive at Xion and turn in the Eidos 7 Hyper Cell by speaking to Orcal.
  • Walk in front of the Gwen Hair Salon in the middle of Xion until you bump into a giant NPC called “Kasim.”
  • After criticizing EVE’s hair, follow Kasim inside the hair salon.
  • Speak to Kasim to get the “First Customer” side quest.
  • Exit Xion and enter the Wasteland map by traveling through the cave passage north of the city.
  • Complete the First Customer side quest by visiting “The Junkyard” location marked on the Wasteland map.
    • Find the Scissors in the Junkyard.
    • Find the Dryer in the same area.
    • Find the Straightener.
  • After finding the barbershop items, return to Gwen Hair Salon and speak to Kasim.
  • The Hair Salon will now be unlocked in Stellar Blade.
  • Speak to Kasim to change EVE’s hairstyle.

How to Complete First Customer Quest in Stellar Blade

The trickiest step is meeting Kasim in Xion, as you need to progress your game before he shows up. If he doesn’t appear in your game, you may have to visit the Wasteland region map first and then return to Xion. Once you’ve spoken to Orcal and progressed the story, you can find Kasim on the marked spot on the map below:

Once Kasim has bumped into EVE, you need to follow him into the Hair Salon. Speak to him once again to get the “First Customer” quest. This is important, as you can’t unlock the Hair Salon until you get Kasim’s barbershop items back.

To complete the “First Customer” side quest in Stellar Blade, you need to just head to the Junkyard in the Wasteland. This is pretty easy to do, as the game actually marks the item’s location on your map as a green and gold icon. However, for your convenience, we provide a map below where to find the scissors, dryer, and straightener in Stellar Blade:

Scissors

The scissors can be found at the bottom of Junkyard’s scrap pile next to a trash bin. You will have to climb over the gate and slide down the ladder to drop into the pit of junk. However, you will see a glowing green icon on the floor near the trash bin. Interact with it to get the Scissors.

Straightener

The Straightener is the easiest item to locate, as it can be found out in the open once you arrive near the Junkyard area. Look for the pile of tires and crates. The item should be marked on your map as long as you have the First Customer quest active.

Dryer

The Dryer is a bit hard to find at first because the location marked on the map isn’t accessible in the open. To reach it, look for the giant hole in the metal fence and crouch underneath it. The Dryer is tucked away in a corner in the gated-off area.

Stellar Blade Hairstyles

Now that you have unlocked the Hair Salon in Stellar Blade, you can access Kasim’s hairstyle shop. Simply speak to the NPC, and you will now have the option to purchase 13 new hairstyles for EVE.

You can also change the color of EVE’s hair after purchasing a hairstyle. Once you select the hair you want, click “R2” on your controller to sift through the color options. Each hairstyle has unique colors, so you will want to check out all of them.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to get rid of EVE’s ponytail. So even though some hairstyles are meant to be a short “bob cut,” you will always have the ponytail on the back. However, you can edit the length of her hair.

Pause your game then press “L1” to tab over to “Settings.” Next, click “Gameplay” and then navigate to the “Ponytail Length” option. However, the only choices you have are “Long” and “Short.”

It should be noted that you only have to purchase a hairstyle once in Stellar Blade. After you own it, you can speak to Kasim at any time and change EVE’s hair as many times as you want for free. Just visit the Hair Salon in Xion, and then select the hairstyle you want to equip and then the color.
