Unlocking the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be tricky, as you must find a secret location to access it. Billson, a repair tech sent to fix the tower, is what makes this task confusing. Once you’ve spoken to the NPC at the tower door, he states he’s “worked up an appetite” for mushrooms from a nearby cave. Naturally, you’d think the solution to this problem is to find the fungi for him to eat, right? Wrong. After spending an hour searching for the food item, I discovered that the hungry bird’s dialogue was actually a hint at where Link needed to go to solve this puzzle.

A few feet away from the Skyview Tower’s door are two cave entrances at the mountain’s base that can be accessed by using Link’s Glider. You will need either Bomb Flowers or a Hammer to smash up the rocks that block the cavern’s pathway. With the rocks gone, you’ll need to find a hidden room tucked away in the wall in the northeast of Sahasra Slope Cave. However, the corridor is so small that I actually missed it the first time I explored the underground location, so keep looking if you don’t see it at first. You’ll know you’ve found the correct spot as the room is completely empty, except for a boulder beside the wall.

Okay, I found the secret room… now what?

Now that you are in the hidden room, use Ascend to warp up through the ceiling into the tower. Then, exit, approach the entrance, and use Ultrahand to remove the sticks blocking both sides of the door. With the items moved, you can finally open the door manually to let Billson into the tower for maintenance. Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom can now reveal the southeast section of Hyrule’s surface map. Onto the next one!
