How to Unlock The Crown of the Immaculate FFXIV

Final Fantasy XIV often features Trials that will see players face off against impressive eight player encounters as they work their way through the Main Scenario Quests. The Shadowbringers expansion is no exception. The Crown of the Immaculate is one of three mandatory Trials players must overcome to see the end of the expansion. This is how you can unlock The Crown of the Immaculate and its Extreme version, in FFXIV Shadowbringers below.

How to Unlock The Crown of the Immaculate FFXIV: Shadowbringers

Much like The Dancing Plague, The Crown of the Immaculate is part of the Main Scenario Quests. This means that it is impossible to miss this specific Trial. In fact, in order to continue the Main Scenario, you will need to complete The Crown of the Immaculate. Once you obtain the quest “A Breath of Respite” and complete it, pick up the quest “Extinguishing the Last Light” at X:18.6, Y:17.7. Picking up this quest will unlock the Trial. Since it is so early on in the Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quest, it doesn’t have an Item Level requirement, much like The Dancing Plague.

The requirements for unlocking The Crown of the Immaculate are as follows:

  • Complete “Extinguishing the Last Light”
  • Level 79

How to Unlock The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme)

Players will be able to unlock The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme) in a manner similar to how The Dancing Plague (Extreme) is unlocked. Once you have completed the Main Scenario Quest “Shadowbringers” and reach Level 80, go to The Crystarium and talk to the Minstreling Wanderer at X:7.5, Y:12.5. Accept the quest “Minstrel from Another Mother.” This will unlock The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme). You can check the requirements for entering this Extreme Trial below.

  • Complete “Minstrel from Another Mother”
  • Level 80
  • Item level 430

The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme) will drop Accessories for you to equip. These are more or less just cosmetic now, as they don’t server any real purpose outside of very slightly boosting your Item Level. However, you can obtain a Innocent Gwiber Trumpet to unlock that unique mount.

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
