HoYoVerse opened up a social media and YouTube account for Petit Planet, a new game that appears to be its life sim inspired by titles such as Animal Crossing. This ended up accompanied by a first YouTube Short teasing some mascot characters and the PC and mobile icon for the title. However, details on the project are still rather slim ahead of the 2025 Tokyo Game Show.

The trailer is set in a wooded area near a waterfall and river. A few mushrooms are in the center of the screen. A fluffy mascot with two legs and big, blue eyes drops. After floating around in the air a bit, it drops down onto the head of a white and black animal with a long, rainbow-colored tail and two tiny black horns on its head. The video closes out with the image shrinking down to the square-shape used for HoYoVerse game icons and the company’s name below it. Those two same mascots appear on the social media account icon and banner.

Here’s how that teaser looks:

This marks the second new HoYoVerse game in development. However, while Petit Planet seems designed to feature some Animal Crossing like life sim elements, Honkai: Nexus Anima has more in common with Pokemon. It is also further along in development, as its first Nexus Bond closed beta test ran in September 2025. That title is still very early in development though, and HoYoVerse even shared a statement noting that it plans more main character customization, environment, and quest updates for future tests and the 1.0 release.

Petit Planet is in development, and Tokyo Game Show runs between September 25-28, 2025.
