Hudson’s Monopoly-like board game series heads to the Xbox 360

This might not seem like big news to North America, but the nearly two decade old Momotarou Dentetsu series is coming to a Microsoft console near you. What you never heard of Momotarou Dentetsu until now? I’m not surprised. It’s more obscure than Enix’s Itadaki Street series even though both of them share similarities with Monopoly. The series started on the Famicom and followed a path onto future Nintendo consoles and the Playstation. Now Momotarou Dentetsu 16 Gold, a remake of the PS2/Wii game with a new locales and players, is coming to the Xbox 360. Sure, it’s just an upgraded port, but adding another niche series to their roster is a plus for Microsoft’s Japan division.
