The unfinished manuscript shows line art of Ten de Shōwaru Cupid protagonists Ryuji Koinobori and Maria talking, with empty dialogue bubbles. Togashi accompanied the image with the Japanese hashtag “Exhibition or original images extra edition,” as well as a Japanese caption that reads the following:

“Something appeared lol.

Back when I was a beginner, I didn’t know blue ink wouldn’t appear in print.”

Yoshihiro Togashi’s current Hunter x Hunter manga has seen plenty of hiatuses during its run, due to the author’s health issues that impede him from writing for extended periods of time. However, Togashi has been sharing some updates recently about the latest chapters he’s been working on, with an update on chapter 401 back in early October 2023. Most recently, the author shared in early May 2024 an update showing that he might be making progress on chapter 405.

Additionally, the fighting game Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact is currently in development for the PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam. A demo appeared on EVO Japan 2024, and Genthru was revealed as one of the playable characters in the roster.
