Remember how you can target arms and legs in Front Mission to debilitate enemy Wanzers? Compile Heart added a similar mechanic for Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II’s battle system.

The newly added Parts Break system allows players to hit specific parts on an enemy. One enemy has its cloak, horn, and gauntlets that can be hit. Another enemy has its shuriken and gauntlets as vulnerable spots.

When you hit a part damage numbers will be shown in yellow. When a part breaks, an enemy’s parameters change you might make an enemy more vulnerable to critical attacks or you can stop an enemy from using a special attack.

Players can get rewards from destroying parts including item drops, experience points or money.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II is slated for release on April 23 for PlayStation 4.
