Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity amiibo Can Give You Weapons Again

Now that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity previews are coming in, we know how certain elements of it work. Namely, what amiibo will do. Destructoid looked at the support within the game and, frankly, it looks rather familiar. Like the original Hyrule Warriors, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity amiibo cans will give you weapons and items. [Thanks, Destructoid!]

When playing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, people can scan amiibo five times each day. They don’t have to be The Legend of Zelda-related figures either. As part of Destructoid’s investigation, the Dark Souls Remastered Solaire of Astora was scanned and provided an award.

As for the items you’ll get, they vary. Both weapons and items were awarded in this test. For example, both Link and Zelda weapons were provided in three of the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity amiibo scans Destructoid recorded. Two were Ancient Memory Parts for Zelda, and one was a Soldier’s Broadsword for Link.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will come to the Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020. The four Champions amiibos will all return at the same time, in case people missed getting the Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa figures. A demo is immediately available via the eShop.
