Nintendo announced on social media that a free update for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will arrive on November 27, 2025. There are four screenshots showing off what to expect, with one of the highlights being a team-up Sync Strike attack that involves Zelda and Calamo working together to fight back against foes.
We don’t know exactly how we’ll get access to the new additions in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment after the patch. The announcement only confirmed “new challenges” will be added. This could mean new challenges will appear in spots on the map of Hyrule for us to access after getting to a certain point in the story. We do know that by going through them, we’ll get to see Zelda and Calamo be able to fight alongside each other and team up for their Sync Strike. Two of the four new screenshots even show the characters together. As for the new weapons, a spear and two-handed claymore-style sword are shown in one of the screenshots. The fourth and final screenshot shows Zelda heading into a fight against some intimidating-looking foes.
Here are all four of the images Nintendo shared for the upcoming update.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is available for the Switch 2, the free update will appear on November 27, 2025, and the original Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity appeared on the Switch.
