Idea Factory announced its first IFChronicle visual novel game Iconology will release worldwide and the manga based on it will appear in Japan. The Steam page is already live online, but the eShop page for the Switch release isn’t. There’s no release window for it yet, but it will feature English, Japanese, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese subtitle options.
Iconology is primarily a thriller and investigative piece following a group called the Experimental Task Force that explores criminal suspects’ cognitive paintings via a White Cube device to learn the truth about situations. However, it does seem like there will be relationship elements, as heroine Haruho Tsubakiya will work alongside other (male) investigators and get closer to them, influencing the ending as she does. Psycho-Pass writer Makoto Fukami worked on the scenario, while CharadeManiacs designer Teita worked on character designs and CGs.

As for the manga, it will run in Comic Howl in Japan. That will be written by the mangaka and artist ichi sayo, who worked on Ensemble Stars and the Danganronpa 1/2: Beautiful Days light novel. That series starts its run on October 14, 2026.
The last Idea Factory worldwide release was the PC version of Cupid Parasite, which launched on Steam on September 22, 2026. 9 RIP Sequelis up next and will come to the Switch outside Japan on October 27, 2026.
The Iconology game will come to the Switch and PC, and the manga will start in Japan on October 14, 2026.
