If You’re Having Trouble Getting in, Here’s the Pikmin 4 Hero’s Hideaway Safe Code

In Hero’s Hideaway in Pikmin 4, you are tasked with tossing Pikmin at buttons on a safe to enter a code to gain access to an area. Doing so advances the storyline, so you can visit new locations, and unlocks an additional game mode in the hub. While you are supposed to find the code by collecting playing cards in the level, you could also just… break in early.

What’s the safe code in Hero’s Hideaway in Pikmin 4?

The numbers for the dials on the safe in Hero’s Hideaway in Pikmin 4 and the code corresponds to three cards. So the first one is from the suit of hearts, the second is from the diamond card, and the third is from the club card. To get in, you need to toss a Pikmin of any color at the first one five times, one Pikmin once at the second one, and a Pikmin eight times at the third one. The code is then 518.

If you went the legitimate way and found it on your own, the game will keep these numbers memorized for you. That way, you don’t have to remember which cards you found.

I would say that, before entering that safe and facing that Dandori battle against the mystery Leafling that worked with Moss, you should get the Ice Pikmin onion. It’s in the kitchen area of this house. Since Ice Pikmin are so handy, it’s worth your time.

Pikmin 4 is available for the Nintendo Switch.
