Ignition redirects Tornado to North America

Our rumor was right on the mark. Ignition Entertainment picked up the rights to Tornado, a game starring a cat that turns into a Tornado and collects buildings. Success is publishing the title in Japan at an unannounced date, but it must be coming soon since Tornado is nearly complete. Ignition plans to release Tornado in North America this fall.

The cover art suggests Toki, the cat in front of the tornado, is like a comic book superhero, possibly like Samurai from the multicultural Justice League. In reality, Tornado is not a platform or an action game where you have to save the world. Players spin Toki into objects (a la Katamari Damacy) and steal them back from the Prince on Planet 69 who swiped them from Earth with his black hole device. You also use the microphone for an unannounced purpose, which will probably be reduced to blowing in it to make “wind gusts”.
