Spike earned originality points for Conception: Please Deliver My Child. The game’s story begins with Itsuki about to graduate high school when his cousin tells him she’s pregnant. Then a beam of light whisks you to Granvania where you have to date and mate with star maidens to save the world.
While we haven’t heard of an RPG plot like the one in Conception before, the PSP game plays like a traditional RPG. Well, a RPG where you have a thirteen character party. You can bring star maidens and your kids into dungeons. Conception: Please Deliver My Child uses a turn based battle system where position is a key element. If you don’t want to manage fights you can select auto battle and let your poor kids fend for themselves. Conception: Please Deliver My Child generates random dungeons with different seasons to explore.
The other part of Conception is a visual novel-like communication mode where you build bonds with the shrine maidens until you have a ceremony of love and create a child. Conception: Please Deliver My Child comes out on April 26 in Japan.
