Indie JRPG Edge Of Eternity Gets Guest Composer Yasunori Mitsuda

Midgar Studio has announced that Japanese composer Yasunori Mitsuda has agreed to contribute songs to its upcoming 3D JRPG Edge of Eternity if a certain Kickstarter goal is reached.

 

Yasunori Mitsuda has made a name for himself after composing for games including Chrono Trigger, Xenogears,Chrono Cross, Xenosaga, Soul Sacrifice, and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

 

“In this project “Edge Of Eternity” I’ll take part as a music composer, looking forward to create music for such an epic perspective, in a world which I really love,” Mitsuda said. “I’m sure the game will be a great work with a collaboration between french and japanese creators. I hope everybody also look forward to the goal of this project, and for its realisation we need your cooperation. I’ll do my best to contribute to a beautiful music you all will love.”

The Kickstarter campaign for Edge of Eternity will be launched on February 15th. The funding goal required for Mitsuda to contribute his songs will be announced then. Edge of Eternity has been in development for a year and takes inspiration from JRPGs of the past two decades, combining fantasy with sci-fi in a vast world.
