Infinity Nikki PS5 Cross-Progression Problems, Explained

If you played any other mobile games available on PlayStation like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact, you may be familiar with a strange issue. If done in a certain way, it is possible to lose all of your progress in this free-to-play experience. This is why it is so crucial that you are absolutely as careful as can be when dealing with cross-play with PS5.

If you have never played an Infold title before, you are likely good to go. You can just either create a new account or boot up the game and start fresh with your PlayStation account. You will be totally fine here. But if you already have an Infold Games account, this is where you need to be extremely careful, especially when using the cross-progression and saves.

The trick about the cross-progression and cross-save issue with Infinity Nikki on PS5 comes from linking accounts. If you ever start playing on PS5 without first creating an account and logging in beforehand, you will have to use the brand new Infold Games account from now that is created for you. This is what happened to me.

If you played previous Nikki games and want to use that account here, you will want to log in with your existing account when you first boot up the experience. This will connect your PSN account to your existing Infold Games account. From then on, you will be able to seamlessly use all of them across all platforms. But if you choose to create an account using your PSN account, you will need to use that same email to log in on other platforms from now on.

Infinity Nikki is available right now for free for Android, iOS, PS5, and PC.
