Inside South Korea’s Starcraft Stadium

The I’Park Mall in Yongsan (“Dragon Hill” in Korean) looks like an ordinary electronics shop with floors lined with digital cameras and computer parts. Well, until you get to the top floor and see a Starcraft eSports stadium.

I stopped by hoping to see a live Starcraft match, but there weren’t any games today. Next door, people were crowding around a Special Force II bout.

When Starleague games are in session the arena is packed with cheering fans. Unfortunately, when I visited the stadium was nearly empty.
