Nazih Fares, Blizzard Entertainment’s IMEA Communications Manager, has offered new details about the Overwatch Nintendo Switch port announced during the September 2019 Nintendo Direct. To start, a company that is rather familiar with porting games to the system will be handling it. Iron Galaxy is responsible for it.

This is not the first Blizzard title Iron Galaxy worked on for the Nintendo Switch. It was also responsible for Diablo III. Bethesda also called upon the company to bring The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the platform. Other recent ports from the company include the PC versions of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Fares also talked a bit about the level of performance people can expect from the Nintendo Switch version of Overwatch in another tweet. He noted, “Overwatch runs smoothly at 30fps with outputs of 900p docked and 720p undocked.”

Overwatch will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 15, 2019. It is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
