Is Drama Engine Facial Motion Capture Software From Sega?

Maybe! Sega trademarked Drama Engine in North America and Europe. In addition to being used for video games, the term can be used for 3D computer graphic software and facial motion capture software.

No such software or middleware has been announced by Sega yet. Back in 2008, Sega dabbled with facial imagining. Project Beauty, a Nintendo DS makeup game made with Shiseido, took photos of users which they could edit with digital makeup.

 

Drama Engine sounds more epic than adding lipstick. Wonder what Sega is going to do with it.
