Is There Romance in the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC?

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty has been released and brings with it a brand new expansive storyline for players to check out. The expansion takes place in the new area of Night City known as Dogtown. With new characters to meet and fight alongside, like Idris Elba’s Solomon Reed and Songbird, some players may be wondering if there are romance options in Phantom Liberty.

Can You Romance Solomon Reed and Songbird in the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC?

Note: There are slight spoilers ahead for characters and story elements in Phantom Liberty.

To not waste any time at all, I will get out of the way and let you know that there are no new romance partners for you to find in the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC. Unfortunately, none of the new characters can join the already existing four romance partners in the base game.

Instead, characters like Solomon Reed, Songbird, and others are only there to be your platonic partners during the Phantom Liberty storyline. This may be unfortunate for some, especially since Reed and Songbird are both two of the best characters in the entire game, including the base storyline.

So, if you were hoping to get to know President Myers of the New United States of America on a romantic level, dash those hopes for now. That said, I will say that this DLC isn’t completely devoid of romance. In fact, if you get the new ending in the game tied to the DLC, you will experience some new romance scenes with your chosen partner.

I will warn you ahead of time, though, that these scenes may not turn out exactly how you might expect them to. So, be sure to make separate saves before making game-changing choices in the Phantom Liberty DLC storyline.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
