Cygames’ accelerated Umamusume: Pretty Derby global version schedule means the Japanese 2021 Christmas event, Support Cards, and Oguri Cap and Biwa Hayahide Trainee characters are now available worldwide. Their banners and Career Mode activities are now live until January 20, 2026. After all the banners end, the two new SSR cards for Mayano Top Gun and Narita Taishin and the alts for the Cinderella Grey units will join the general pool.
The Christmas event in Umamusume: Pretty Derby is called Hungry for a Miracle, and Biwa Hayahide, Mayano Top Gun, Narita Taishin, and Oguri Cap are all the stars of the event. As usual, participating in usual actions and Career Mode will earn you points for rewards, an event story unlock, and spins on a roulette for additional items. There is a boost option for Career runs to get more points, and using the featured characters as Trainees and Supports also helps.
In the case of the characters, the new Oguri Cap is considered one of the better versions of her. She’s still a Dirt and Turf racer who can handle Mile, Medium, or Long races as a Pace Chaser or Late Surger. Her Unique Skill boosts her speed and is easy to trigger, since it involves recovering endurance with skills at least three times, and her potential skills include three. Biwa Hayahide is a Turf Pace Chaser, though she could be a Late Surger, who handles Medium and Long races. Her Unique Skill also involves a speed boost with velocity, but only if she’s “well-positioned.”
As for the two SSRs, each one’s draw is a Career Event that bestows a Stamina-restoring skill for greater endurance. Mayano Top Gun is a SSR Speed card that includes the Front Runner skill Restless. She also has Specialty Priority. The Wit Narita Taishin SSR gets Sleeping Lion for End Runners. Her Unique Perk adds a Specialty Priority with a Speed Bonus.
