Ixion Saga was first spotted as a trademark filed by Capcom and a domain name registration. This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals what it is and it’s not tied to Greek mythology.

Ixion Saga is an upcoming online game from Capcom with team battles. Characters bring swords, magic, and guns in battles, which can be as large as 8 on 8 fights. Players can join guilds called unions to set up fights.
Service for Ixion Saga kicks off this July beginning with an alpha test. Capcom will select 5,000 gamers to join Ixion Saga from user applications. Full Ixion Saga service will begin this summer, but it’s unclear of this game is only for Japan.
