The Katamari series has always been known for its catchy tunes. Beautiful Katamari has 50 of them and some are sung by (ex-)popstars. Artists on the list include Itokubo, Takashi Utsunomiya, Iyo Matsumoto and the IM@S ALL STARS. And yes, the last group is related the Namco Bandai’s Idolm@ster series. Namco Bandai has not released details about the US song list, but in previous games they conserved the tunes. So I guess buying Beautiful Katamari is like getting a sampler CD of J-pop as an extra. If that isn’t your thing you can always load your Xbox 360 with Katamari classics and roll to Disco Prince.
Game | Watch also has a few more pictures of the new cousins, which are getting much more creative than the cookie cutter cousins in the other games. Je Mans the pictured snowman and Harvest who has an apple for a head are my favorites from this group.
