J-Stars Victory Vs. Trailer Shows Off Ace, Hiei, And Killua In Action

In the Jump universe, there are those who wish to become stronger and there are those who look for challenging fights. In J-Stars Victory Vs. they’ll be doing just that, as they clash against one another in the upcoming all-star brawler. The game’s latest trailer gives us a lengthy look at some of the new features.

 

 

J-Stars Victory Vs. will feature 52 characters spanning across the worlds of 32 different manga series. Starting at the 1:30 mark, we get a closer look at Ryotsu Kankichi from Kochikame, Arale from Dr. Slump, Kenshiro and Raoh from Fist of the North Star, Goku with Vegeta and Frieza from Dragon Ball Z, and many more.

We also get a first look at the new characters in action, with YuYu Hakusho’s Hiei at 2:25, and a glimpse of Ace from One Piece at 2:50. At 2:55 we also get to see Killua Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter in action, who looks like he’ll also have his new powers for the game.

Next, we get a look at the J-Adventure Mode at 4:19, which will feature an original story that has you explore around the world of Jump. In this mode, you’ll acquire points by winning fights, which can be used to purchase various items and customization parts for your “Memorial Jump” ship.

The collectable J-Stars Card feature will allow you to use cards to power up your characters with different combinations. If you wish to partake in just battles, there will also be a Victory Road feature, that has a straightforward path with battle stages.

 

Finally, the Free Battle mode, as the name implies, allows you to freely fight any way you want, where you’ll be able to set up your teams, rules, and more. Additionally, there will also be a gallery mode, where you can check out figures of your favorite characters.

 

J-Stars Victory Vs. is slated for release on March 19, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
