I was watching this interview on CNBC earlier today, but I missed out on recording it. Good thing someone else did and Game | Life found it on YouTube. Jack Tretton, the new CEO of SCEA, answers some hard hitting questions about PS3 sales like why is Sony dropping the price. Tretton focuses on the ten year lifecycle of the Playstation 3 and mentions that the Playstation 2 should sell an additional ten million units this year. The PsOne lived for ten years and with games continually being released for the Playstation 2, the PS2 is on target to have a similar lifespan. However, the Playstation 3 is an entirely different beast and the PS3 is off to a rocky start on its ten year journey.
