Japan’s Favorite Final Fantasy Game According to NHK’s Grand Poll Is… Final Fantasy X

    Earlier this week, we reported on some of the character popularity results for NHK’s All-Final Fantasy Grand Poll, and today NHK released the full results, including players’ favorite Final Fantasy games. Surprisingly, the game that took top spot wasn’t Final Fantasy VII, but instead Final Fantasy X.

    Here’s the full list of top games below (release dates by Japanese dates):

    A total of 468,654 votes were casted in this poll by various people. According to the statistics, Final Fantasy X had about the same percentage of 20-29 year olds and 30-39 year olds voting for it, while Final Fantasy VII and IX had a higher ratio of 30-39 years old to 40-49 years old players voting for them.

    Meanwhile, it’s not surprising at all to see who’s in first place on the character side: Cloud. He’s followed by Yuna from Final Fantasy X, and Aerith comes third to form a Final Fantasy VII Oreo.
