JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Gold Leaf

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Gold Leaf Ice Cream, Mirrors For Sale

The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series will feature on special items by Hakuichi, a gold leaf manufacturer based in Kanazawa, Japan. What’s the occasion, you may ask? The upcoming Hirohiko Araki JoJo art exhibition is being held in the same city of Kanazawa, in Ishikawa prefecture. As such, Hakuichi will be selling gold leaf-covered soft ice cream with the series’ main characters and various other limited-edition merchandise. The ice cream will be available from April 29 to May 28, 2022. [Thanks, Natalie!]

The city of Kanazawa has a long history of gold leaf manufacturing dating back to the Edo period. As such, the tourist destination is well known for having various gold leaf-related goods and merchandise for sale.

One of the more popular items from Hakuichi is a gold leaf-covered soft ice cream, which typically runs for around Â¥800 at its Kanazawa locations. However, the special version will also add a wafer with characters such as Jolyne and Giorno printed on it. The ice cream will cost Â¥1,010 (about $7), in reference to the name “JOJO”.

Hakuichi will also sell six different gold leaf-covered compact mirrors. Similarly, the compact cases will feature illustrations of Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, Josuke, Giorno, or Jolyne. Each will cost ¥2,750 (about $21), and will be available through the physical stores as well as the Hakuichi online shop. Other gold leaf products include a Golden Wind gold leaf face care box set.

Earlier this year, the Tower Records Cafe released a special JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean menu.

The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure gold leaf ice cream and compact cases will be available starting April 29, 2022. The Hirohiko Araki art exhibition will run from April 30 to May 28, 2022. The first 12 episodes of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime are available to watch on Netflix. The series will continue in Fall 2022.
