Jump Festa 2021 will take place online this year due to the pandemic. Fans will get to virtually explore the event through a special app that will take us to “Jump Fes Island” on December 19-20, 2020. [Thanks, Game Watch.]
Jump Festa 2021will feature works from Weekly Shonen Jump, Shonen Jump+, V-Jump, Jump SQ, and Saikyo Jump. This will mark the 22nd Jump Festa, but for the first time, it will take place online to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The virtual venue “Jump Fes Island” will feature plenty of attractions, including the “Jump Super Stage,” “Jump Studio,” “Jump AmusemenTower,” and more. You can even read free manga at the “Zebrack Library” during the event. You’ll find numerous buildings and areas on Jump Fes Island.
You can visit the “Maker’s Theater” to enjoy content from the Jump creators. Fans will collect various Jump Festa-exclusive goods or get early access to sales of original goods. Furthermore, the “Jump Fes Store” will give you access to each maker’s shop. While you won’t physically attend the event, it will have photo spots and mini-games to check out digitally.
Lastly, to access Jump Fest Island, you’ll need a character to control. The images below give us an idea of what the characters look like for the app. You can make them run and do all kinds of poses. Characters are unlockable by playing through the app.
Jump Festa 2021 Online will take place from December 19, 2020, through December 20, 2020. The app will be free, but there’s currently no word on whether it’ll be region-locked to Japan.
