Based on Naoya Matsumoto’s manga serialized in Shonen Jump, it follows a man named Kafka with the ability to transform into a Kaiju. He works for a government agency defeating malicious ones. However, because Kaiju are such a threat and the means of his transformation put him in danger, he has to keep his ability secret among his closest friends. The anime adaptation began airing in April 2024.

This isn’t Akatsuki Games’ first free-to-play title. It also developed Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle and Romancing Saga: Re-Universe. Both also appeared worldwide.

Kaiju No 8: The Game will be available on mobile devices and PCs via Steam. The release date has yet to be announced. The Kaiju No 8 anime is currently airing on Crunchyroll, and the manga is handled outside Japan by Viz Media.
