Katsuhiro Harada, who is reknowned for working on a designer, director, producer, and voice actor for Tekken games, announced he will leave Bandai Namco. He took to social media to confirm this will happen “at the end of 2025.” However, he will be at the Tekken World Tour Finals between January 29, 2026 and February 1, 2026. The last entry he worked on was Tekken 8.
Harada stated he came to this decision after seeing others retire or die. He also noted he discussed with PlayStation designer and former Sony Computer Entertainment CEO and current Cyber AI Entertainment CEO Ken Kutaragi about his decision. In his message, he talked about pursing “the time I have left as a creator.”
When Katsuhiro Harada Talked about the Tekken World Tour Finals event, he stated Bandai Namco invited him. He will be a special guest at the competition. He’s been involved with the series as a voice actor since the original game, but later as a director and member of the development team since Tekken 3.

Katsuhiro Harada will leave Bandai Namco at the end of December 2025.
