Kemco Keeps 16-Bit JRPGs Alive With Games Like Fantasy Chronicle

Ah, Kemco. If you owned a NES, you probably remember them as the publisher of Shadowgate and a bunch of Bugs Bunny games. While Kemco exited the console video game business in North America, they’re still making video games. Kemco changed their focus to the mobile market where they’re cranking out 16-bit role playing games like Fantasy Chronicle.

This iOS game has overhead dungeons, turn based battles, and a clunky translation. It’s kind of like playing an unearthed Super Nintendo game minus the nostalgia of a familiar franchise.
