When the Nintendo Switch Lite was announced, Nintendo noted that not every game would be compatible. Only those that specifically say they support Handheld Mode will work on that variation. PQube helped allay any concerns about Kill la Kill IF, noting the game will work on the new version of the system.
PQube brought this up in a tweet showing off the Kill la Kill IF box art. It specifically highlighted the portion on the back showing compatibility modes. In Handheld Mode, people can play it alone. (In both TV and Tabletop Mode, it is possible to play with one or two people.)
