The King Of Fighters ‘94 And Other Neo Geo Games Headed To The PlayStation 4




Hamster Corporation has been bringing emulated arcade games to the PlayStation 4 as part of an Arcade Archives line since May 15, 2014, when it released Crazy Climber, Ninja-Kid, and Rygar on Japanese PlayStation 4s. While this has meant quite a few games from companies like Jaleco, Konami, Sunsoft, Taito, and Technos. Now, it’s announced it will be bringing SNK arcade games to the console as part of a ACA Neo Geo series, starting with The King of Fighters ‘94 in both North America and Europe on October 27, 2016.


The King of Fighters ‘94 is the first of eight planned ACA Neo Geo series games. Five more games will come to the PlayStation Store in 2016, followed by two more in 2017. Here’s the list of other expected titles and their release windows.

The King of Fighters ‘94 originally appeared in Japanese arcades in August 1994, before making its console debut on October 1, 1994. It was the first The King of Fighters game, with a roster made up of original characters and ones pulled from series like Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Ikari Warriors, and Psycho Soldier. It was known for its 3v3 battles.
