The King of Fighters XIV Brings Visual Improvements With 1.10 Update On January 11, 2017

The King of Fighters XIV producer Yasuyuki Oda shared the latest on the fighter on the PlayStation Blog, where we got a look at Athena’s ‘98 costume, and more about the upcoming patch.

 

First, here’s a look at a holiday promotion trailer showing off a new DLC costume and a selection of PS4 themes. The DLC costume is based on Athena’s iconic look from The King of Fighters ‘98. The costume will be available free for a limited time through January 22, 2017.

As for the PS4 themes, we’re getting a “Santa Girls” theme as well as an “Athena All Stars” theme.

 

Oda also discussed a little big about the Ver 1.10 patch for The King of Fighters XIV by saying that the development team has been working hard to respond to some fan feedback as they work on improving the game’s visual presentation.

The update brings an upgrade to aspects such as shaders and lighting, bringing an overall improvement to the visuals. Thanks to fan feedback, they’re also adding the total number of color variations from 4 to 6 with the new update.

 

The King of Fighters XIV is available on PlayStation 4. The Ver 1.10 update launches on January 11, 2017 and a special “Demo Ver. 2” will be available before its release.
