Just like Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai and Kid Icarus: Uprising, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] utilizes augmented reality. Square Enix USA sent screenshots of two of mini-games, but didn’t explain how these work. I wonder if players have pop bubbles to free Dream Eaters in one of them…
Kingdom Hearts 3D supports local wi-fi play and StreetPass connectivity. Nintendo also reveals the game will have two save slots on their product page. Players will see Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in Kingdom Hearts 3D. However, Sora’s usual partners Donald and Goofy aren’t playable because they can’t use keyblades, Tetsuya Nomura said in a Famitsu interview. The 3DS game follows Sora and Riku as they take the Mark of Mastery Exam.
Kingdom Hearts 3D comes out on March 29 in Japan and is slated for a 2012 release in the West.
