Square Enix announced Switch 2 native ports of the first three Kingdom Hearts games collections and showed an updated gameplay trailer that confirmed Kingdom Hearts 4 will be on the console at launch. There’s still no release window for that game, however. However, the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 and 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re+Mind will be out on October 8, 2026. The Kingdom Hearts 3 demo will be on the eShop later on June 9, 2026.
First, here’s the Kingdom Hearts Switch 2 ports reveal trailer. It went over how all three games will now run without needing the online Cloud element. They will be available alone or in a collection. Save data from the Cloud versions can be transferred over.
As for Kingdom Hearts 4, the new trailer focused on gameplay footage showing Sora fighting new enemies. This meant seeing both a massive boss fight that involved an enemy attacking a building as we attempted to face it and dealing with smaller enemies in the streets.
The first three Kingdom Hearts compilations of games will show up on the Switch 2 on October 8, 2026, and we’ll see Kingdom Hearts 4 on the console when that game launches.
