Square Enix announced that it will sell its Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories playing cards again.  They will come out on April 27, 2024.

You can pre-order the cards from the Japanese Square Enix store. They cost 3,080 JPY, which would be around $20.50. During their initial run in 2023, pre-orders opened up in June 2023 and the cards shipped out on September 30, 2023. These cards are still not available in the North American store, which means that if you want to purchase them but you live outside of Japan, you’ll need to use a proxy service.

These playing cards look exactly like the ones that are in the Kingdom Hearts game. They have a jagged top to emulate a crown, and the numbers are at the bottom right of the image. Instead of sorting the colors based on the suits, the colors change depending on what kind of card it is. For example, the weapons are red and the worlds are blue. Because of the design, it is unlikely that Square Enix intended for people to actually use these as playing cards. If you do wish to play normal card games, the Square Enix store offers an actual Kingdom Hearts deck.

The Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories playing cards re-release will come out on April 27, 2024. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories appeared on the GBA, while Re: Chain of Memories appeared on the PS2. It is also in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
