Viz Media’s localization of Kirby Manga Mania is now available to pre-order through Amazon. The first volume releases on June 8, 2021 for $9.99, according to Viz Media. Amazon listings indicate that the second and third volumes might release on September 14, 2021 and December 14, 2021, respectively. The second and third volume are not currently listed on Viz Media’s official site.
Kirby Manga Mania is a Coro Coro Comics collection of stories from the Kirby of the Stars: The Story of Dedede Who Lives in Pupupu manga. Hirokazu Hikawa began work on the series in 1995 and finished in 2006, at which point he had written 25 volumes worth of content.
Viz Media said that the comic is for all ages and will depict Kirby’s attempts to thwart his “arch-frenemy” King Dedede. It didn’t indicate which stories will be in Kirby Manga Mania’s first volume, though.
Viz Media also published another Nintendo-related manga. The company’s release of Super Mario Manga Mania contained author-selected stories from the Super Mario-Kun manga, including some autobiographical material that dealt with the subject of grief.
Kirby Manga Mania Vol. 1 will be available in a variety of locations. Viz Media mentions Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Bookshop.org, RightStuf, Walmart, Comic Shops, and Amazon. The publisher also mentions that actual prices for the 160-page-long book might vary.
