The Guerrilla Collective Showcase aired on June 5, 2021, featuring over 80 games. Among them was Azure Striker Gunvolt 3‘s latest action-packed trailer. In the footage, both of the main characters went through the same level and fought the same boss. However, due to their wildly different mechanics, their playstyles were quite different. Check out their abilities in the new trailer below.

The upcoming title will be the first mainline game in the series since Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 in 2016. The brand-new character in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is the shrine maiden Kirin. Named after the mythical creature in Asian folklore, Kirin wields a sword in close encounters and tosses enchanted talismans in long-range combat. As for defense, she can also use her sword to deflect enemy projectiles.

Fans will get to play as Kirin in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 when it launches on Nintendo Switch in 2022. Inti Creates’ last update on the game informed fans that the director of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon joined the team as an action director.
