Namco Bandai just announced Knights Contract, their take on the brutal action genre, for Japan and wasted no time with an announcement for the West. Knights Contract is coming to Europe in 2011. Chances for a North American announcement are about as good as Heinirich killing the glowing eyed creature.
The news came with a few new details, like the game’s developer. Game Repbulic, the studio behind Genji, Clash of the Titans, and Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, is working on Knights Contract.
Heinrich was an average witch executioner with the grisly job of beheading witches to calm the public’s paranoia. He decapitated one too many, though, because Gretchen, a reincarnated witch, got her revenge by cursing Heinrich with immortality. Now the two of them must work together to destroy an evil and grotesque looking threat.

Update: That was fast. Namco Bandai Games America confirmed the game for North America.
